1954-Love and Company's Like Chrysler Made The World Go Round

Salk was busy working on his vaccine for Polio ,Russia was busy preparing

Sputnick. That's what was worrying our government that year.

How about the working man?  I found one. Let's call him C.M..

He worked at Chrysler Auto.

Thanks Blogger!  I have his pay-stubs.These little slivers of paper will crumble  if handled

anymore. Blogger lets them take their place in history.

I met his widow .

He maintained a household of seven ,including himself.

That's truly a breadwinner.

Pay stubs at the time were 'gold colored'

I put green currency theme as a backdrop.

Explained to me , as soon as guys got their pay-checks and

walk out the Chrysler Company doors, wives were there to greet them and

get handed-over the checks.  Perfect policing.

Cops doing their 'busts' could not time it any better than spouses.

The idea a check, of about $54.00 per week sustaining a household of seven with no public assistance

seems

mind boggling today (2015).

His widow liquidated her holdings, then moved back to her birth place ,the State of Georgia .

With

that Southern modesty and compassion she sent a 'can of peanuts'.
